Now that we are (almost all) feeling better, it was so nice to be able to go to church today, with the whole family! I noticed a couple of things this week. First of all, as I was watching Will and the other boys pass the sacrament, I realized how much thought and work this must take for them, the first few months or so. The older men make it look so easy, but I know Will has got it all thought out ahead of time. For some of the boys, this must be kind of hard and even stressful at first. But I am so proud of the way all the young men in our ward do their part.
Next - I can sing again! Last week I made it to church, but neither Randy nor I had any voice at all. I could have maybe managed to sing tenor, but not soprano or alto. It was actually a little hard to listen to everyone else singing and having to just sit and follow the words. I really missed being able to sing. So I still didn't sound great this week, but I was able to sing all the hymns today and I was so glad!
And finally, please keep Will in your prayers and your thoughts. His swollen tonsils are really giving him a hard time and I'm going to take him in to the dr. tomorrow. I know Emilee just had her tonsils out (hope you're feeling better!), and we may have to do the same for him.

I'm glad you're feeling better! I was under the impression they didn't remove tonsils anymore. I read a bunch of stuff on how they have found that they are very important for your immune system. Can they give him anything to get the swelling down?
I was totally jealous when I was little and I found out only BOYS could pass the sacrament. Total bummer.
Now, I'm not so jealous. I bet it is a little stressful.
I hope Will feels better! I heard that it is not too bad when kids get their tonsils out but maybe he won't have to get them out...here's for hoping!
I took Will in to the dr. They did a strep test and gave us an antibiotic, but the dr. didn't seem to think there was much of a problem with his tonsils. It was his ear that was infected.
I'm not convinced, but we will finish the antibiotic and then see how he feels. I'm going to get him in with an ENT and get a second opinion.
