Back to School

My kids are a little old for the traditional 'back to school' photos, but I did still want to share what they've been up to.

Ellen is in 12th grade - almost done! She's kind of excited and kind of nervous about this being her last year. She's taking an honors geology class that promises lots of homework, but she also gets to go on 2 field trips - one to Yellowstone and one to Bryce Canyon. Lucky girl! She's also taking Jewelry 2 and another Ceramics class.

Sarah is a freshman, but she's still at the junior high. She's also going on a field trip, with her Drama 3 class, to the Utah Shakespeare Festival in October. She is so excited about that. I hope she'll have a lot of fun. And she's in Honors English and Honors Biology.

Will is in 7th grade, the new kid in the junior high! He and Sarah have the same science teacher, and they both have to assemble an insect collection. So if you have spare bugs, send them our way! He's taking Drama as well. He has several friends from the neighborhood in his classes, which is nice.

And me? I'm going to work! One of the men in the neighborhood is starting a new business and I'm starting a part time job on Monday. I'm looking forward to it! It will be nice to be busy and to be earning some money. It looks like I'll be spending it all on field trips, as each one of them is $150. Ouch.
