TBR reading challenge

I am only 2 books away from finishing my 2nd 999 challenge this year. I still need to read Suite Francaise and The Countess Below Stairs, and then I will be done with my second set of 81 books for the year. I'm waiting on the first from the library and the second is somewhere in Ellen's room.

In the meantime, I've had fun reading some books for book club. I get to be in two - one for serious books, and one for lighter stuff. The serious one was reading Don Quixote this month. I got my copy and started reading. Wow - what a huge book! And not the easiest read either. It was 1124 pages long and quite complicated in style. The other book club read Sundays at Tiffany's, which was MUCH easier.

And on my personal reading challenge, finishing some of the unread books hanging around my house, I've gotten a couple more finished. I read For the Love of a Lady, a World War II era mystery set in Washington DC. Very dated, but kind of fun. I'm reading Mormon Scientist: Henry Eyring right now, which is a library book. I was surprised that we didn't win a single prize in the library summer reading contest. I think this is the first year that's happened. Maybe submitting my reviews online isn't such a good idea after all.

How do you read so much? O_O

One day I will discover the secret to reading so many books a year and copy it...

Sorry to hear you didn't win in the reading contest, though. :( I certainly hope it's not because you've been reviewing books online!
