If you've heard the laughter at our house and wondered just what was so funny, it must have been one of us girls playing our new favorite game, Fashion Solitaire. I mentioned a game site I really love, Playfirst.com. I like trying the free downloads demos every so often, and this was one that got me hooked. Ellen came to watch and convinced me that I had to buy this one.
It's like a mix between solitaire and a fashion show. You start off with cards, each having an item on them, like a dress, a belt, a hairstyle. And you have three models waiting to be dress. You have to match what they want with what cards you have showing. What makes it even more fun (or is that funnier?) is that you can create your own fashions. Some of the styles are not modest at all, so you can change that around. Or when you feel silly, you can create the most hideous clothes imaginable and send your poor models out on the runway dressed like clowns!
There are several places to download a demo. I'm posting one of the links. I got it from playfirst and paid $19.95 for it. It's definitely a "girl" game, but I'm okay with that. I finished the whole game in a few hours of play, but you can go back, like I mentioned, and recreate the fashions however you want. Worth a try if you enjoy that sort of game.
