Spring is here, so no more excuses, it was time to plant the garden today! Will and Sarah went with me to the garden store, and, as always, we got a little carried away. But we came home with seeds and flowers and were ready to go. Then I remembered a bunch of other stuff we needed, like supports for the peas, so we went back to the store. But my junior gardener got out there in the dirt with me and we got our peas, radishes, and onions in the ground. Randy promises to work over a flowerbed for me. So for those of you neighbors who are tired of looking at the weeds in my yard, relief may be in sight. Now if only I could keep my cats out of the planter by the stairs. I wanted to plant some flowers there, but I know from experience, that is not a good plan.
Now if only it weren't such a long wait between planting and eating! It's my first time trying peas in several years, so I hope that they all come up and taste good.
